Cedric Chivers are the names synonymous with some of very best of British bookbinding. For over 130 years the business has supplied highest quality bookbinding and paper conservation services to libraries, museums, academic organisations, publishers, discerning individuals, collectors and antiquarian bookshop proprietors.

The business recently ceased trading, but the name Cedric Chivers and the tradition of fine book binding, edition bookbinding and book conservation lives on in an exciting new development for the previous customers of Chivers brought to you by Riley Dunn & Wilson.

From November 2010 the majority of Chivers Bookbinders, Chivers-Period and Cedric Chivers customer\'s orders, works and accounts have been transferred to the well known national and international firm of Riley Dunn & Wilson Limited. We employ over 70 staff skilled and experienced in library and edition binding, book and paper conservation, digitisation and book printing and facsimile reproduction operating from facilities in Falkirk, Scotland and Huddersfield, England in the UK. Riley Dunn & Wilson was originally founded in 1897 and has considerable experience and skill at producing all the work formerly undertaken at the Chivers facilities in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
